Clinical Associate Professor Hart MB.BS. MRCP (UK). FRACP. FCCP. is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine. 


Clinical Associate Professor Hart has been caring for his adult  patients with their Respiratory and Sleep conditions for over 30 years.

After studying Medicine at the UNSW, he graduated with honours in 1975, and underwent further training in the UK. Dr Hart came to Wollongong in 1983 working for the Illawarra Area Health Service, and in 1987 was appointed Director of Respiratory Medicine, then Head of Respiratory at Wollongong Hospital and served the community in these positions for over 30 years.

He continues to care for his patients with Respiratory and Sleep problems in both the Public & Private Hospitals and his Private rooms. 


In 1994 Dr Hart set up the first Sleep Laboratory available in the Illawarra for Adults, and in partnership with a local Paediatrician formed the first combined Adult & Paediatric Sleep Laboratory in the Illawarra.

He currently teaches the next generation of Medical Practitioners at the University of Wollongong.

He currently sits on the Medical Assessment Panel of Dust Diseases Care iCare NSW.

After completing Post Graduate Medical Studies in the United Kingdom, Dr Hart became a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP (UK) ).

He has been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). 

He has also been awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
