ABOUT DR. HART
Clinical Associate Professor Hart MB.BS. MRCP (UK). FRACP. FCCP. is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine.
After studying Medicine at the UNSW, he graduated with honours in 1975, and underwent further training in the UK. Dr Hart came to Wollongong in 1983 working for the Illawarra Area Health Service, and in 1987 was appointed Director of Respiratory Medicine.
He is currently Head of Respiratory Medicine for the Illawarra Shellharbour Local Health District.
He currently teaches the next generation of Medical Practitioners at the University of Wollongong.
He currently sits on the Medical Authority of Dust Diseases Board iCare NSW Australia.
After completing Post Graduate Medical Studies in the United Kingdom, Dr Hart became a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP (UK) ).
He has been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
He has also been awarded Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
In 1994 Dr Hart set up the first Sleep Laboratory available in the Illawarra for Adults, and in partnership with a local Paediatrician formed the first combined Adult & Paediatric Sleep Laboratory in the Illawarra.
In 2018 he sold his share of this Sleep Laboratory Business.
Dr Hart has been caring for his Adult Patients with their problems relating to chest and sleep for over 20 years, and continues to do so in his new location.
